Usually these journals are obtained through membership in the organization, which would keep most high school students out of the picture. Again, if you live in a major urban area, you can gain access to these journals by going to nearly any large urban library.

Some students go on to graduate school immediately after earning an undergraduate degree; others work for a few years in their chosen field before returning to the college campus. Yet others enter graduate programs in night school while holding down a daytime job. A third course of action is to seek a cross-disciplinary major that offers exactly the combination one seeks. A close review of college catalogs reveals programs with names like Technology and Public Policy (great training for a career in a government research agency), Technology Management, Information Systems Management, Communications Management (the combination of training in telecommunications and business management), and many others.
